eBRAM was pleased to participate in the Roundtable on AI Entrepreneurship & Law, organised by the Academy for Applied Policy Research and Education Futures (AAPSEF) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), held at EdUHK’s North Point Campus on 17 December. The roundtable was invited by Dr. Fan Yang, Professor of EdUHK, examined legal frameworks, regulatory considerations and industry developments relating to artificial intelligence in Hong Kong.
Moderated by Dr. Fan Yang and Mr John Siu, Case Counsel of eBRAM, the discussion brought together professionals from the legal, technology and academic sectors to exchange views on digital governance and LawTech applications.
Mr Ronald Sum, JP, Vice-Chairman of eBRAM, delivered opening remarks on the evolving role of legal professionals in the AI era and Hong Kong’s position as a common law hub and gateway to the Greater Bay Area. Mr Albert Leung FCIArb FHKIArb MIET MBCS CEng PMP®, Acting CEO of eBRAM, then shared practical insights on the application of LawTech, including eBRAM’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
The roundtable also featured contributions from representatives of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, the medical AI sector, the construction technology sector and academia.
