Regional Director, Hong Kong and Mainland China

Focusing on the marketing, promotion and business development of eBRAM’s LawTech products and services, which include among others the Deal-Making, Online Dispute Resolution (“ODR”) and Legal Cloud portals, and reporting to eBRAM’s Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and to ExCo if so required.  The role of the Regional Director (Hong Kong and Mainland China) will include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing the marketing strategy and business plan aimed at advertising the unique features, functionalities and capabilities of eBRAM’s LawTech for the Hong Kong and Chinese markets.
  • Drive and execute go-to-market activities to promote our Deal-Making, ODR services and LawTech services to the local and Chinese market.
  • Generate leads and actively seek out new business opportunities with clients.
  • Promote eBRAM’s LawTech to trade and business industrial associations, professional bodies, state-owned enterprises, and business entities in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
  • Perform market analysis on the effectiveness of the initiatives and collaborate with the management and marketing team to create effective strategies and campaigns to attract clients to register and use eBRAM’s LawTech.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing the unique benefits of eBRAM’s LawTech products and ODR services.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to represent our company and generate leads.
  • Critically evaluate and track the development and delivery of allocated campaigns/events as well as assess effectiveness and appropriateness of the promotion strategy and plans regarding eBRAM’s LawTech.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing guidance when using eBRAM’s services.
  • Explore and evaluate new ideas and features to drive the experience and usage of eBRAM’s LawTech.
  • Coordinate (with the support of the marketing team) the production / produce marketing materials, including but not limited to the production of leaflets and brochures for dissemination via analogue and digital means.
  • Be the key contact for all enquiries related to eBRAM’s LawTech products and ODR services.
  • Propose system enhancement in line with market best practices and collaborate with IT team to ensure a smooth onboarding and excellent customer experience. 
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by the CEO or ExCo from time to time.

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in DR; and/or ODR; and/or eCommerce field
  • Engaging people-oriented and hands on individual, who can go out and market eBRAM at all levels of the community in Hong Kong and Mainland China
  • Proven level of engagement and network with the business community
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce or legal industry
  • Strong ability to connect business needs with technology solutions
  • Experience and practical knowledge in LawTech
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English

Marketing Team

Marketing and Event Executive

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic marketing and events executive to join our business development and marketing team. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Business Development and Marketing, assisting with a broad scope of business development and marketing initiatives. These include the support of our marketing events, conducting market research, promoting our services through social media channels, as well as maintaining our marketing database and collaterals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies
  • Support the team to organise and attend marketing activities or events (online and offline) to raise brand awareness
  • Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.)
  • Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the company’s presence and manage the budget
  • Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
  • Support daily administrative duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing and events
  • Have a strong passion for managing and running a broad range of events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of different marketing channels like LinkedIn, WeChat, and other social media channels
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail

Case Team

Case Counsel

As Case Counsel, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

ODR Case management and Practice

  • organise and complete necessary documentation in the process of case development and proceedings
  • manage mediation/arbitration cases actively, organising case files and address any issues that come up
  • review and process documents filed by parties, neutrals
  • ensure proper application of the relevant rules in each mediation/arbitration/APEC ODR case
  • prepare documents relating to cases for eBRAM Committees’ decision
  • review draft awards
  • moderate and assist parties/mediators/arbitrators during online mediations/hearings
  • proactively determine clients’ needs to ensure an overall positive experience
  • provide internal and external training in collaboration with other eBRAM colleagues
  • handle incoming subscription to the HK Legal Cloud
  • deal with applications to join eBRAM’s panel of mediators, arbitrators and APEC neutrals

ODR Platforms - user experience

  • conduct review and testing of the ODR platforms
  • contribute to building a digital ODR system that is robust and user friendly

Ideal candidates should have:

  • a postgraduate degree in international arbitration, international law or international commercial law
  • a legal qualification (bar admission), with minimum of four years post-qualification relevant professional experience
  • excellent drafting and communication skills
  • technologies and systems knowledge
  • strong ability to connect business needs with technology solutions
  • an organized approach to work
  • excellent command of Chinese and English (knowledge of an additional language is an advantage)

IT Team

System Analyst

Position Background:

eBRAM is committed to attracting new talents to help transform our LawTech systems and operations. We’re now inviting a dedicated individual to join our information technology company to support the legal community in Hong Kong and beyond. As a member of the IT team, the role will participate in developing and maintaining our Deal-making platform, Legal Cloud platform, and flagship Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) systems.

We're looking for an experienced IT talent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web and mobile responsive application platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the DevOps and Container Platform.
  • Participate in system design, development, deployment, testing, and implementation for new initiatives and functional enhancements on web application systems under DevOps environment.
  • Understand, evaluate, and internalize the latest cloud-native services, solutions, patterns, and related infrastructure and architecture to enable continuous improvement and enhance operational agility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Associate degree or Higher Diploma holders in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • 3 years of system development and operation experience in React, Next.js, and Laravel with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitLab CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure, Linux, Windows Server, Shell Script, Docker Container, and DevOps architecture.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for system and application performance is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Chinese.

eBRAM Internship Programme 2023-2024 - Dispute Resolution

eBRAM Case management team is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. The internship is for a period of two to four months.

Tasks include

  • Read and draft documents related to arbitration/mediation cases in English/Chinese
  • Legal research and read legal documents in English or other languages
  • Preparation of conferences
  • Other assignments as requested by the team

Requirements

  • Qualification in international commercial law arbitration, with strong academic credentials and prior work experience
  • Proactive, outgoing, organised, and able to work independently
  • Fluency in English
