Marketing Team

Marketing Manager

We are looking for a professional, confident and enthusiastic team player with a flexible can-do attitude with expertise in branding, marketing and communications to join our thriving business.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), his/her duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Formulate and implement business development strategies (including creating an overseas roadshow plan, a list of must-attend arbitration/technology events)
  • Organise events (seminars, conferences, cocktail receptions, trainings) in Hong Kong and globally; from planning to management of event full cycle (invite speakers, prepare rundown, content creation, on-site management, source vendors, post event follow up)
  • Manage and update website content (both Chinese and English)
  • Create and manage a social media strategy (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and WeChat etc.)
  • Oversee marketing materials (brochure, leaflet, creative videos etc) and ensure they are available in other languages
  • Promote eBRAM to trade and business industrial associations, professional bodies, state-owned enterprises, and business entities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and internationally including the APEC Region
  • Responsible for marketing & communication, community outreach & training, business development, and managing PR outsourcing partners
  • Responsible for the strategic direction and business development of capacity building, research, marketing, and promotional campaigns
  • Seek and identify opportunities to support the business and revenue goals
  • Put in place marketing actions that help grow ODR education and awareness in Hong Kong, trust and notoriety, visibility and conversion
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically to ensure the most optimal allocation of marketing expenditure
  • Provide ad hoc support to Board of Directors (such as producing speeches and slides in both English and Chinese for speaking engagements of Board of Directors)
  • Support any other tasks/activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Degree holder preferably in marketing or communications.
  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience in marketing communications and creative agency experience would be an advantage.
  • Creative, strong interpersonal and project management skills, self-motivated, result-driven, able to handle multi-tasks.
  • Proven track record in project and event management.
  • Able to work under high pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent English and Chinese in both written and verbal communications.

Case Team

Case Counsel

As Case Counsel, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

ODR Case management and Practice

  • organise and complete necessary documentation in the process of case development and proceedings
  • manage mediation/arbitration cases actively, organising case files and address any issues that come up
  • review and process documents filed by parties, neutrals
  • ensure proper application of the relevant rules in each mediation/arbitration/APEC ODR case
  • prepare documents relating to cases for eBRAM Committees’ decision
  • review draft awards
  • moderate and assist parties/mediators/arbitrators during online mediations/hearings
  • proactively determine clients’ needs to ensure an overall positive experience
  • provide internal and external training in collaboration with other eBRAM colleagues
  • handle incoming subscription to the HK Legal Cloud
  • deal with applications to join eBRAM’s panel of mediators, arbitrators and APEC neutrals

ODR Platforms - user experience

  • conduct review and testing of the ODR platforms
  • contribute to building a digital ODR system that is robust and user friendly

Ideal candidates should have:

  • a postgraduate degree in international arbitration, international law or international commercial law
  • a legal qualification (bar admission), with minimum of four years post-qualification relevant professional experience
  • excellent drafting and communication skills
  • technologies and systems knowledge
  • strong ability to connect business needs with technology solutions
  • an organized approach to work
  • excellent command of Chinese and English (knowledge of an additional language is an advantage)

IT Team

Product Manager

As Product Manager, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

Platforms - user experience and design

  • The quality of the ODR platform products.
  • Designing platform requirement analysis and product acceptance.
  • Preparing user requirements for e-Bundling and other parts of the ODR platform.
  • Coordinating project schedule, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Contributing to building a digital ODR system that is robust and user-friendly.
  • Collaborating effectively and working closely with business stakeholders to promote ODR platform solutions.
  • Advising business stakeholders on functionalities and efficiency of software product enhancements including but not limited to ODR platform, Hong Kong Legal Cloud, LawTech portal, Deal-Making portal.
  • Supporting ODR training programs and seminars.

Ideal candidates should have/be:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business, Law, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or above as a product manager;
  • IT knowledge with a strong ability to connect business needs on technology solutions;
  • Legal practical experience in project management and implementation, integration, and rollout experience in the leadership role with an in-depth understanding of the law practices would be advantageous;
  • Proactive, and innovative, with good project management, communication, and analytical skills;
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure an efficient and effective training process;
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation skills;
  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication, and relationship management skills;
  • Ideally good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Software Developer (Full-stack)

Position Background:

eBRAM is committed to attracting new talents to help transform our LawTech systems and operations. We are now inviting a dedicated individual to join our LawTech company to support the legal community in Hong Kong and beyond. As a member of the IT team, the role will include developing and maintaining our Deal-making platform, Legal Cloud platform, and our flagship Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop web-based applications including the application programming interface, functions, frontend user interfaces, and back-end system integration
  • Understand the requirements of stakeholders to produce technical deliverables
  • Perform software deployment, debugging, testing, and documentation for new initiatives and functional enhancements for the systems

Ideal candidate:

  • Degree/Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related disciplines
  • 2 years of working experience in web application development
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience will be considered as Programmer
  • Programming knowledge of React, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, PHP or .NET
  • Experience in RDBMS such as MySQL or other database systems
  • Good analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
  • Good command of English and Chinese

eBRAM Internship Programme 2023-2024 - Dispute Resolution

eBRAM tasks itself to elevate Hong Kong’s arbitration and mediation services, and build capacity to meet the rapidly expanding demand for dispute resolution services across the borders, by utilizing innovative technologies to enable the city to become a LawTech center and hub for international business dispute avoidance and resolution, in collaboration with global organizations and participating economies such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Belt-and-Road countries and beyond.

eBRAM Case management team is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. The internship is for a period of two to four months.

Tasks include

  • Read and draft documents related to arbitration/mediation cases in English/Chinese
  • Legal research and read legal documents in English or other languages
  • Preparation of conferences
  • Other assignments as requested by the team

Requirements

  • Qualification in international commercial law arbitration, with strong academic credentials and prior work experience
  • Proactive, outgoing, organised, and able to work independently
  • Fluency in English
