As a member of the IT team, the role will include developing and maintaining our Deal-making platform, Legal Cloud platform and our flagship Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) system.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastruture Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and manage technical infrastructure, hardware, and software components
  • Perform analysis, testing, planning, design, implementation, monitoring, capacity management, security operations, troubleshooting and documentation for infrastructure, network, and security
  • Perform prompt remedy actions, track and report progress recover systems from the incident with minimum service impact and develop preventive measures
  • Perform system administration and patch management on cloud and on-premises servers
  • Drive to develop continuous Improvements on infrastructures for cost-efficiency, stability performance and security
  • Maintain administration records of security control, maintenance activities and incidents
  • Assist in training machine learning to improve the translation engine
  • Collaborate with vendors to support development and maintenance activities
 
Ideal candidate:
  • University graduate or equivalent in the field of IT or related disciplines
  • Over 5 years of working experience in infrastructural analysis, design, and implementation in an infrastructure engineer role or equivalent
  • In-depth technical knowledge of network, servers, and platform operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux, firewall, VPN, etc.
  • Experience in Cloud Infrastructures such as Azure, AWS, Google, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, or other cloud providers is an advantage
  • Experience in using agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Dev-Ops is preferred
  • Knowledge of software development skills is an advantage
  • Able to work independently and self-motivated to deliver excellent results
  • Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills, well-organized, self-initiated
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Certification in cloud infrastructure technology is an advantage
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Infrastructure Engineer

Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop web-based applications including the application programming interface, functions, frontend user interfaces and front-to-back systems
  • Understand the requirements of stakeholders to produce technical deliverables
  • Perform software deployment, debugging, testing and documentation for new initiatives and functional enhancements for the systems
  • Collaborate with the development teams and stakeholders including the solution architect and business users such as marketing and case management

Ideal candidate:

  • Degree/Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related disciplines
  • 2 years of working experience in web application development
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience will be considered as Programmer
  • Programming knowledge of React, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, PHP or .NET
  • Experience in RDBMS such as MySQL or other database systems
  • Able to work independently and self-motivated to deliver excellent results
  • Good analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
  • Good command of English and Chinese

Internship Programme

The internship is for a period of two to four months starting from January 2022. The intern will be under the supervision of the Senior Solution Developer.

Tasks include

  • Prepare testing cases on LawTech platforms such as Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, Deal-Making system, etc.
  • Carry out testing for IT systems according to user specification
  • Prepare user guide and system documentation
  • Other assignments as requested by the team

Requirements

  • Qualification in IT or related discipline
  • Sound knowledge of Javascript, Node.js, PHP, MySQL and Agile development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

Case Management Team

eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre Limited is currently recruiting a Counsel and Deputy Counsel for its case management team.

Deputy Counsel

As Deputy Counsel, you will assist the Counsel in the administration of cases. Your role involves both legal and administrative tasks including:

      • administering ODR cases on a daily basis and ensuring proper application of the relevant rules.
      • reviewing and processing documents filed by parties, neutrals
      • monitoring the financial aspects of ODR cases
      • preparing a document describing the background of the case and setting out the issue(s) (including as to appointment, challenges, procedures) to be decided by the relevant committees
      • correspondence and telephone conversations with parties and neutrals
      • answering general enquiries as to the application of eBRAM’s rules and eBRAM ODR and LawTech services
      • any additional tasks assigned by the Counsel or the CEO from time to time.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • a law degree with relevant experience in dispute resolution and/or international arbitration,
  • excellent command of English and Chinese, and
  • the ability to work well in a team.

Counsel

As Counsel, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • organising and completing necessary documentation in the process of case development and proceedings
  • managing cases actively, organising case files and addressing any issues that come up
  • reviewing and processing documents filed by parties, neutrals
  • ensuring proper application of the relevant rules in each ODR case
  • preparing documents relating to ODR cases for eBRAM Committees’ decision
  • reviewing draft awards
  • increasing the efficiency of arbitration and mediation by implementing digital case management systems under the supervision and direction of senior management
  • proactively determining clients’ needs to ensure an overall positive experience
  • providing internal and external training in collaboration with other eBRAM colleagues
  • any additional responsibilities assigned by the CEO or the Board from time to time.


Ideal candidates should have:

  • a postgraduate degree in international arbitration, international law or international commercial law,
  • a legal qualification (bar admission), with minimum of four years post-qualification relevant professional experience,
  • excellent drafting and communication skills,
  • an organized approach to work,
  • be able to manage a team, and
  • excellent command of English and Chinese (Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage).

Administration and Finance Team

eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre Limited is currently recruiting an Accounting Manager and Office Manager for its administration and finance team.

Accounting Manager (Part-time)

Job Description
  • Maintaining the book of accounts and the document retention system
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts under supervision of directors and/or CEO
  • Handling payrolls and MPF contributions
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts
  • Reporting to CEO and the Staff and Finance Committee on financial matters
  • Liaising with the company secretary and auditors to ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in an NGO is a plus

Office Manager

We are seeking an organised and self-motivated Office Manager to join our team and work alongside the management team.

The successful applicant should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar role
  • Degree holder in Business Administration, or any related disciplines (including HR)
  • Knowledge of administrative management practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance
  • Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in serving NGOs and handling Committee work will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese, knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • managing office administrative support, which includes handling of mail, incoming calls, schedule meetings and appointments
  • office administrative works such as renewal of insurance, licence, office equipment and general upkeep of the offices 
  • overseeing the office account payable, monthly payroll and MPF submission, and working with Account Manager to handle monthly expenses claims
  • managing employee on-boarding, engagement and off-boarding procedure
  • liaising with internal and external stakeholders/vendors to ensure smooth office operation
  • filing of documents, photocopying, scanning of correspondence received
  • performing ad hoc duties as assigned by the management team
