Management Team

CEO/Secretary General

As the CEO/Secretary General of eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre Limited, he/she will lead and manage the development and operation of the eBRAM ODR and Deal Making Platforms, as well as the other LawTech products and will assume the overall executive and financial responsibility of the entity to ensure achievement of its objectives.

  • Reporting to eBRAM’s Board and/or its ExCo, the CEO is responsible for the overall management, development of LawTech and operations of eBRAM
  • As a leader, the CEO is to work with members of its management and department heads in order to formulate and realise goals
  • Develops annual plan, resources allocation and budget for the Board’s approval
  • Acts as the primary spokesperson of the organization
  • Oversees core businesses of eBRAM including LawTech, case management, AI-machine translation services, and other Law/Tech services
  • Oversees development of eBRAM’s different online platforms and ODR services
  • Executes business development strategies and education programme for members (including corporate members)
  • Responsible for operational risk and compliance management of eBRAM
  • Ensures that relevant provisions in the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance and other local laws and regulation will be fully complied with by eBRAM’s staff in all jurisdictions covered by eBRAM’s operational platform
  • Oversees the development and implementation of Human Resources policy, for the approval of eBRAM’s Board
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by the Board and/or its ExCo from time to time


The Ideal Candidate Profile

It is preferable that the candidate should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

  • Five years or more experience in arbitration and/or mediation and other alternative dispute resolution; or similar experience in in e-commerce and/or LawTech
  • Credibility and track record in the field
  • Engaging people-oriented and hands-on leader
  • Warm and fuzzy individual who can go out and market eBRAM at all levels of the community in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and internationally, including the APEC Region
  • Proven level of engagement and network with the business community
  • Business management experience, new company setup experience an added advantage; entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience and practical knowledge in LawTech and/or Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) an added advantage
  • A Hong Kong permanent resident or intention to settle in Hong Kong for good
  • Proficient in English and Chinese

Case Management Team

Case Manager

eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre Limited is currently recruiting Case Manager for its case management team. You will be reporting directly to the Case Counsel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handles general enquiries
  • Registers new cases for validation
  • Monitors and handles credits received daily on global payment system
  • Handles legal cloud subscriptions and enquiries
  • Handles and prepares statistics for ODR services, Legal Cloud
  • Handles questionnaires received from parties and neutrals
  • Maintains library of other ODR platforms around the world
  • Handles panel listing related matters
  • Reports to Case Counsel
  • Any ad hoc tasks may include acting as “online mediation session manager” from time to time for mediation cases

Requirements:

  • Case management skills: must be able to articulate, understand, support and perform in accordance with all eBRAM rules, policies and procedures which affect the case management process. This includes but is not limited to online documentation and usage of softwares for all types of ODR services
  • Basic proficiency in all ADR processes and procedures (negotiation, mediation, arbitration, court reference, etc.) 
  • Relationship skills with disputing parties: ability to proactively determine client needs to ensure that the overall experience is positive
  • Technical skills: Computer literate and proficiency in all software programs required for the position 
  • Organization skills: exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a quick paced environment 
  • Communication skills: good verbal & written communication skills 
  • Collaboration: solid ability in working with Team members; must act professionally and possess great interpersonal skills; 
  • Legal knowledge: must have a good understanding of the legal industry including court processes and legal terminology 

Education/Experience:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably relating to law and/or finance 
  • Excellent command of written/spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Well-organized, pro-active, meticulous and be able to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Proficient with MS Office applications 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure.

IT Team

System Analyst

Position Background:

eBRAM is committed to attracting new talents to help transform our LawTech systems and operations. We’re now inviting a dedicated individual to join our information technology company to support the legal community in Hong Kong and beyond. As a member of the IT team, the role will participate in developing and maintaining our Deal-making platform, Legal Cloud platform, and flagship Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) systems.

We're looking for an experienced IT talent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web and mobile responsive application platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the DevOps and Container Platform.
  • Participate in system design, development, deployment, testing, and implementation for new initiatives and functional enhancements on web application systems under DevOps environment.
  • Understand, evaluate, and internalize the latest cloud-native services, solutions, patterns, and related infrastructure and architecture to enable continuous improvement and enhance operational agility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Associate degree or Higher Diploma holders in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • 3 years of system development and operation experience in React, Next.js, and Laravel with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitLab CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure, Linux, Windows Server, Shell Script, Docker Container, and DevOps architecture.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools for system and application performance is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Chinese.

eBRAM Internship Programme 2023-2024 - Dispute Resolution

eBRAM Case management team is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. The internship is for a period of two to four months.

Tasks include

  • Read and draft documents related to arbitration/mediation cases in English/Chinese
  • Legal research and read legal documents in English or other languages
  • Preparation of conferences
  • Other assignments as requested by the team

Requirements

  • Qualification in international commercial law arbitration, with strong academic credentials and prior work experience
  • Proactive, outgoing, organised, and able to work independently
  • Fluency in English
