eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre Limited tasks itself to elevate Hong Kong’s arbitration and mediation services and build capacity to meet the rapidly expanding demand for online dispute resolution and deal-making services across borders. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic digital marketing assistant to assist our busy marketing team. You will be reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager and assisting with all related tasks. You may be required to perform administrative tasks, conduct market research, update the system database and create marketing literature.



Case Team

Counsel

As Counsel, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • organising and completing necessary documentation in the process of case development and proceedings
  • managing cases actively, organising case files and addressing any issues that come up
  • reviewing and processing documents filed by parties, neutrals
  • ensuring proper application of the relevant rules in each ODR case
  • preparing documents relating to ODR cases for eBRAM Committees’ decision
  • reviewing draft awards
  • increasing the efficiency of arbitration and mediation by implementing digital case management systems under the supervision and direction of senior management
  • proactively determining clients’ needs to ensure an overall positive experience
  • providing internal and external training in collaboration with other eBRAM colleagues
  • any additional responsibilities assigned by the CEO or the Board from time to time.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • a postgraduate degree in international arbitration, international law or international commercial law,
  • a legal qualification (bar admission), with minimum of four years post-qualification relevant professional experience,
  • excellent drafting and communication skills,
  • an organized approach to work,
  • be able to manage a team, and
  • excellent command of English and Chinese (Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage).

ODR Director (10-month contract)

We are looking for a problem solver, and an organised and self-directed team player for the role of Online Dispute Resolution Director (“ODR Director”), who acts as our ambassador to promote Hong Kong’s advantages in ODR services and oversee and coordinate the research of the organisation. You will be reporting to the Management Team.

The position requires tech-savvy, a keen understanding of major challenges facing the ODR development in Hong Kong and strong leadership and project management skills.

As ODR Director, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

1.Research Coordination

  • Coordinating the development of the research agendas and work plans, working in conjunction with the Management Team.
  • Developing and maintaining systems to support research coordination and goals.
  • Managing the research process and keeping on track for release dates
  • Reviewing and editing all reports and fact sheets produced by the research specialist to ensure methods and findings conform to the standards for qualitative and quantitative research.

2. Advocacy and Marketing

  • Developing and executing advocacy agenda and marketing campaign in promoting Hong Kong’s ODR development in the APEC Region.
  • Be the brand champion to safeguard the brand essence.
  • Critically evaluate and track the development and delivery of allocated campaigns/events.

3.Other Duties

  • Advising CTO on enhancing product efficiency and user-friendliness in prototype development.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Management Team.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate’s Degree in mathematics, laws, or computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Organized, a problem solver, self-directed, and demonstrate leadership and initiative, while at the same time being a committed team player.
  • Ability to juggle complex and occasionally shifting timelines.
  • Capacity to identify, organise, facilitate and/or sustain mutually beneficial partnerships and alliances with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competency in computer research, statistics, and datasets.

Marketing and Communications Team

Marketing Manager, Marketing and Communications (10-month contract)

We are looking for a professional, confident and enthusiastic team player with a flexible can-do attitude with expertise in branding, marketing and communications to join our thriving business. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will take full responsibility for marketing and communications functions; develop and execute marketing strategies, drive awareness of eBRAM’s ODR platforms and support business objectives via both online and offline channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forerunner in the field.

As Marketing Manager, your primary responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Plan, manage and execute online and offline events, including budgeting, brand positioning, planning, promotion, space design, etc.
  • Be responsible for the entire project cycle, from research, planning to execution, to drive and engage the audience
  • Manage virtual event platforms, websites and social media
  • Analyze the performance of the events
  • Be the project manager, achieving different goals and objectives through different projects
  • Critically evaluate and track the development and delivery of allocated campaigns/events.

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Degree holder preferably in marketing or communications.

Research Specialist, Marketing and Communications (10-month contract)

We are looking for a thorough, detail-oriented research specialist to help with research projects. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications. You may be required to design and execution of research projects and data analysis.

As Research Specialist, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Creating goals and plans for research initiatives and proposals.
  • Formulating and conducting modelling, studies, focus groups and interviews; collecting data, and analysing and assessing test and research outcomes are all tasks that must be completed.
  • Establishing research guidelines and protocols, and designing and implementing electronic systems for managing important data.
  • Writing reports to summarise data and the implications of the results

 Ideal candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate’s Degree in mathematics, laws, or computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in field of choice.

Project Assistant (10-month contract)

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic project assistant to assist our busy marketing team. You will be reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager and assisting with all related tasks. You may be required to perform administrative tasks, conduct market research, update the system database and create marketing literature.

As Project Assistant, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Assisting the Marketing and Communication department with campaigns and events
  • Performing administrative tasks such as updating databases and spreadsheets
  • Creating engaging content for the company’s website, social media pages and for press releases
  • Coordinating with business units to schedule all marketing activities
  • Other duties include handling organisational and clerical support tasks and managing the filing system, recording and information as needed

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Diploma or above in Marketing, Journalism or related field

We are now inviting a dedicated individual to join our information technology company to support the legal community in Hong Kong and beyond. As a member of the IT team, the role will participate in developing and maintaining our Deal-making platform, Legal Cloud platform, and flagship Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) systems.


Project Manager
(10-month contract)

As Project Manager, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Coordinate project schedule, resources, equipment, and information
  • Monitor and control project progresses and resource allocations, manpower management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work closely with technology/marketing teams and business stakeholders to deliver training programmes and seminars
  • Proactively manage all the potential risks on projects and recommend mitigating measures if required
Ideal candidates should have:
  • Degree holders in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a project manager
  • Hands-on experience in IT project management on cloud and implementation, integration, and rollout experience in the technical leadership role with an in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Technical Manager (10-month contract)

As Technical Manager, your main responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Overseas the IT infrastructure of the eBRAM platforms
  • Ensure the platform performs functionality at the highest security level
  • Provide technical support and engineering trouble shootings in dispute resolution and LawTech systems
  • Plan and track software deliverables. Guide the support team throughout the support and maintenance process

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Degree holders in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 35years relevant experience as a technical manager
  • Hands-on experience in technical support on cloud and implementation, integration, and rollout experience in the technical leadership role with an in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS Cloud services such as security, architecture, and development on Azure, AliCloud, etc
  • Solid experience in using Agile development methodology, CI/CD, and DevOps
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, blockchain, cybersecurity technologies, customer data protection, and risk management would be an advantage

eBRAM Internship Programme 2022-2023– Dispute Resolution

eBRAM tasks itself to elevate Hong Kong’s arbitration and mediation services, and build capacity to meet the rapidly expanding demand for dispute resolution services across the borders, by utilizing innovative technologies to enable the city to become a LawTech center and hub for international business dispute avoidance and resolution, in collaboration with global organizations and participating economies such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Belt-and-Road countries and beyond.

 

eBRAM Case management team is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. The internship is for a period of two to four months.

 
Tasks include

  • Read and draft documents related to arbitration/mediation cases in English/Chinese
  • Legal research and read legal documents in English or other languages
  • Preparation of conferences
  • Other assignments as requested by the team

Requirements

  • Qualification in international commercial law arbitration, with strong academic credentials and prior work experience
  • Proactive, outgoing, organised, and able to work independently
  • Fluency in English
