2nd Round Presentation on the POM Water Seepage Scheme Successfully Concluded

Following the first session on 30 April 2025, the 2nd Round Presentation on the “POM Water Seepage Scheme” was successfully held on 22 August, co-organised by the Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) and eBRAM, with support from the Buildings Department and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.
This session aimed to further introduce the Scheme to 18 District Councils, their representatives and assistants, enhancing their understanding of how this free online mediation service can assist local residents and property owners in resolving water seepage disputes more efficiently and accessibly.

💡 Welcome & Overview – Mr. Albert Leung FCIArb FHKIArb MIET MBCS CEng PMP®, Acting CEO of eBRAM, delivered welcome remarks and introduced eBRAM’s services. By integrating technology and professional mediation expertise, the Scheme seeks to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions for neighbourhood water seepage issues, while reducing conflicts and fostering harmony in the community.
💡 Service Process Walkthrough – Mr. John Siu, Counsel of eBRAM, provided an overview of the Scheme’s workflow. This gave participants a clearer understanding of how the service operates and how it can support them in assisting residents to resolve disputes in a fair and timely manner.
💡 Case Sharing by Mediators – Scheme mediators Dr. Kitty Kwok and Mr. Karson Li shared their professional experiences and real-life mediation cases. They highlighted practical tips for handling sensitive neighbour relationships, showing how constructive communication and professional mediation can successfully lead to settlements and restore trust between parties.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants actively raised questions and exchanged views on applying online mediation to resolve community disputes.
