eBRAM was honoured to be invited to participate in the National Training Course for Talents Handling Foreign-related Arbitration (Hong Kong) 2026, jointly organised by the Department of Justice and the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy.
 
The two-week programme, conducted in English, brought together approximately 80 foreign-related arbitration professionals from across the country. The training covered key areas including international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, judicial support, arbitral practice, as well as exchanges with Hong Kong’s professional institutions, international organisations and legal sector.
 
As an invited participating organisation, eBRAM was pleased to contribute to the programme through both professional sharing and LawTech support.
 
During the course, eBRAM Director Mr Adrian Lai JP, delivered a thematic session on “How Hong Kong Courts Support Arbitration”, offering participants a structured overview of the role of the Hong Kong courts within the arbitration framework, including interim measures, the validity of arbitration agreements, and the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
 
eBRAM Acting CEO Mr. Albert Leung FCIArb FHKIArb MHKIoD MIET CEng PMP® and Secretary General - Ms Wenny Huang also took part in the panel discussion on “Use of LawTech in Arbitration”, where they shared insights into eBRAM’s practical experience in applying LawTech to international dispute resolution, including online arbitration and mediation platforms, intelligent document and evidence management, and digital tools that enhance the efficiency of cross-border proceedings.
 
In addition, eBRAM was once again invited to provide full-session real-time speech translation support for the programme. Through bilingual instant recognition, live transcription and synchronised display, the service helped facilitate smoother cross-language learning and professional exchange throughout the intensive training.
 
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Horace Cheung Kwok-kwan, Deputy Secretary for Justice, remarked that the programme had provided participants with deeper insights into international arbitration and promoted substantive exchanges with Hong Kong’s legal sector and international institutions. He highly affirmed the participants’ engagement and achievements, and expressed gratitude to the Department of Justice, CUPL, China Legal Service (Hong Kong) Limited, as well as all speakers and supporting organisations for their contributions.
