“AI and Arbitration” Seminar & Networking Mixer Successfully Held

We were pleased to have successfully hosted the “AI and Arbitration” Seminar & Networking Mixer, co-organised by eBRAM and China Legal Education and Career Seminar Series (CLECSS Education) 中國法律教育及就業講座系列 on 16 April 2026, with more than 80 participants in attendance. The event brought together legal professionals, in-house counsel, arbitrators, and business leaders to explore the evolving intersection between artificial intelligence and arbitration, as well as the latest developments in arbitration practices across jurisdictions.

The seminar commenced with opening remarks delivered by Ir Albert Leung FCIArb FHKIArb MHKIoD MHKIE MIET CEng PMP®, Acting Chief Executive Officer of eBRAM, and Simon Mui, Founder of CLECSS, setting the stage for insightful discussions throughout the evening. The seminar featured two engaging panel discussions:

🔹 Panel 1: “AI and Arbitration”
Moderated by Kwan Yuen IU, Barrister-at-Law, with distinguished speakers including Dr. Christopher To, Barrister-at-Law, Arbitrator & Mediator; Ir Albert Leung FCIArb FHKIArb MHKIoD MHKIE MIET CEng PMP®, Acting CEO of eBRAM; and Joshua Chu 朱喬華 , Solicitor and Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Web3 Association. The panel shared valuable insights on how AI is reshaping dispute resolution, covering practical applications, opportunities, and emerging challenges.

🔹 Panel 2: “Latest Developments in Arbitration in Mainland China and Hong Kong”
Moderated by Yiwen (Wenny) Huang, FCIArb, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of eBRAM, with distinguished speakers including Xin Ruguo (忻如国), General Manager, Legal Department of China Everbright Bank; Raymond Yang FCIArb, FHKIArb (杨春雷), Partner at Johnson Stokes & Master; Gary Zeng (曾宇), Of Counsel at Morrison Foerster; and Jack Law 罗志强 , Partner at Hui Zhong Law Firm. The panel provided an in-depth overview of recent trends and legal developments in arbitration across Mainland China and Hong Kong.

The event concluded with a networking mixer, offering participants a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and foster connections within the legal and business communities.
